As most of you know, I am really into planning ahead. It gives me time to breathe, and some time to re-think my plans and make sure I have come up with something great that blesses each of my mommies and their individuality. I have three mommies to plan for each year, My Mother Pam, My step Mother whom I love dearly, Nancy and the most fabulous Mother-in-law a girl could ask for, Candy. You can tell from their names that their personalities are truly their own. Little is shared between each one except that they are each exceptional mothers over flowing with love for their families. I have to start my gift planning extremely early, because each one of them will be recieving something unique to their personalities and styles. For example, I would never consider buying Nancy a mothers/grandmothers necklace, I am quite sure that in the 24 years I have known her, I have seen her wear a necklace a handful of times! On the other hand Candy wears one every single day, and Pam wears one a few times a week. Candy has 7 going on 8 grandchildren so I had to get pretty creative in building her necklace. It took a year to get the entire thing assembled! She got a new family set for every holiday for one year! My mother is only going on 2, so hers will be a delite and a breeze to create whenever I decide it is the right time ;) So you see planning ahead is essential when trying to get something just right. It is also essential when you are trying to spend quality time with each woman to celebrate her and her day. So Mother's day is a week long event. A formal ultra girlie handmade brunch will suit my Mother-in-law perfectly and give me incredible joy in planning (that is my favorite thing to do of course). My Mother will love an intimate lunch or dinner affair 9providing me a break before I tackle the next endeavor) and Nancy will be plum tickled if I make the forty-five minute drive with salad and fresh bread in hand! It is all realtive, and what I think is special has been proven to be wrong once in a while, but I have learned that looking into the hearts of each woman and analyzing who she really is and what she has done, tends to be the best way to determine the perfect gift.
I am providing you with a fabulous resource for the Pam and Candy's in your life:

Pictured above is a necklace that was hand crafted just for me. It is a fabulous piece and she offers a huge array to choose from. She is pleasant to work with and an amazing artist that will work with you to create that one of a kind piece you might be looking for this year!
