March Madness Crafts!

Our March craft was fun, easy and super affordable! We took a simple adobe pot that I had left over from last year, and painted it fun spring colors (Cole is totally into painting lately). We added a fun red "C" for Cole! Then we scoured the neighborhood for some great branches that we found from the neighbors tree (with permission of course) and painted them. Next we added a piece of floral foam to the base of the pot. Make sure it fits snug to help support the branches. While I was "fitting the foam, Cole was out hunting for leaves with his dad. When they got back we placed our branches in the pot and made a bare tree. Then we took our crayons and basic white paper and placed the leaves under the paper. Then take your crayons and go over the leafs to create and "impression" of the leaf. Next cut out your new leaves and use either floral wire or ornament hooks to attach the leaves to your new tree! You can continue to embellish (if your little one is feeling particularly spry and wanting for more) with glitter, buttons, ribbon, or for Easter you could add some pretty little eggs. We finished ours with Easter grass to hide the floral foam!

Have fun and send me some pics of your completed projects!
