Happy St Patrick's Day . . .

Okay . . . Here it is! Our super green fun crafty dinner affair! We started with left over green wrapping paper- Then we grabbed some "sponge hearts" and green paint and added some shamrock flair by stamping 4 hearts in a circle and drawing on a stem with a green marker! Cole Loves the stamping process! We left the crayons out for dinner time fun! While the paint was drying . . . Cole and I headed to the great outdoors (his favorite place to be) and collected everything that we could find in green. He came up with quite the interesting floral arrangement . . . Vinca, Potacarpus, Boxwood Hedges, and a few Daisy's to dress it up! We assembled the arrangement and moved on to the place settings . . . I had clear plates and clear cups and it worked out great because you can see all of our "green handiwork."

Next came dinner! We had corned beef and "green" cabbage ( I made it in the slow cooker so that we would have time to do everything else today) and we added "green" beans, and watermelon because of it's "green" rind. Then we mixed up some "green" fruity beverage (clear soda with fruit juice and green food coloring or apple cider with a drop of food coloring). To top off out great day- We made some scrumptious "sprinkler" cupcakes with green frosting and green pinwheels! This is really a great way to teach your little ones about colors and have tons of fun doing it! For Pics of our finished table scroll down!

Remember that you can do this any day! Pick a theme and a color and run with it! We will be doing this one again for Easter and we will add in a few colors and some eggs, bunnies and crosses! Stay tuned for that adventure . . . My famous cookies will be making a short cameo!
