Happy February! What a great month for crafting! Especially if you have boys and you are in desperate need of something pink and frilly! I found some simple little wooden hearts in the dollar bin at Joann's and then bought a big bag of white and cream faux pearls. I painted the hearts Ivory and then put glue inside with the pearls and dashed a bit of glitter over it all before they dried (Cole got to help too). I tied a piece of left over fabric and glued it to the back . . . then I had these great metal monogram tags and I tied those on to finish them off.
To make the cute jars . . . I picked up the premium mason jars at Walmart and then let Cole fill them with Valentine candy corns on the bottom and Strawberry Milkshake Whoppers on the top. Then we cut up some fabric remnants just big enough to cover the lids and peek out of the lid rings. I looped the hearts through the ring and embellished with a little tulle!
(A great alternative is left over glass jars that you have recycled from home, there are some great shapes to play with, baby jars would be so sweet for the little ones treats).

***Try adding some vintage buttons, old skeleton keys, vintage metal dog tags or theater seat tags, or a vintage millinery flower with some tulle to decorate the tops of your jars if you do not want to go through the trouble of making the hearts! Have fun!
So Cute! I hope the family will love these sweet treats as much as I do!
